I'm looking for the best way to move multi-channel audio from the PC to the Mac. I'd like to use the PC as a front-end for music and movies and transfer the audio stream from the PC to a Mac for audio processing using Logic Pro (delay, room correction, EQ). I've thought about using a Lynx AES-16 in each box and then using the extra outs on the card in the Mac box to stream to an Aurora DAC. This would probably be ideal, but very expensive. Is firewire possible? What about a card with multiple SP/DIFs that works on Mac and PC?
