We have not completely unpacked, and my rca to euro style connector cables (preamp to power amp) are in a box "somewhere". I thought I'd buy some pre-made, and have come up with a zero. I haven't called the sound reinforcement equipement rental place here (since I *know* they have to use these) for ideas, but nobody at even a custom cable shop knows what I'm talking about! I *know* that *most* commercial power amps use these, so it's not "just me".

Can anyone here suggest a place? I already ordered 10 of the connectors on eBay and will make my own cables up (again), but would be willing to pay for some molded ones.

I live in Europe but I have no idea what a "Euro style" cable is. From preamp to power amp I'd use Cinch cables I think. You mean these?

Do you mean (euro)-SCART? Or prehaps DIN?
SCART is a large connector found in TVs and DIN is a round connector with pins.

I'm sitting a foot away from 7 QSC DCA1622 theater amps as I type this, I know exactly what you're talking about. smile.gif They're kinda like Molex connectors, but I havn't a clue where you'd buy some.

Here's a PDF that might have what you need: http://www.mouser.com/catalog/623/1033.pdf

Doh, should have read your post better, you already ordered some of the connectors, you were wanting pre-terminated cables, sorry. smile.gif Oh well, the PDF shows what the connectors look like if anyone else is curious.

The connectors in rotareneg's post are exactly what I'm talking about!

Others call them "Phoenix" style, from an manufacturer I believe.

I'm guessing you made your own cables, too? It was easy, with those little screw down connections, so I'm probably being a tad lazy here...

Rantings Of A Madman To Follow...

I was SO disappointed on this: a local computer parts company advertised on the radio that they had every kind of audio cable there was and that, since they were right across from Circuit City, folks should come in after they buy their stuff.

After finally FINDING the Circuit City in Albuquerque this past Saturday, I find out the cable store is closed on weekends (which struck me as REALLY bad for business if you're planning on drawing in folks from Circuit City). Then, I called this morning and they had no idea what I was talking about with the connectors - I told them the power amp model and everything... sad.gif

OTOH, Circuit City may not sell sound reinforcement equipment.
