i recently bought a record deck and after some inital set up problems i have been purchasing the albums and eps i want and ripping them to my pc for ease of use, i would like the opinion of more experiened users though so i just created a few mp3 samples from some of my flac files (i could not find a good freeware flac cutter). i have been using audacity and wavrepair so far and any advice people could offer that doesnt involve switching to other tools would be appreciated (i have got used to using them now).

one issue could be my sound card which is an audigy and i have been considering replacing it for a few months i just cant decide if i should get a prodigy 7.1 LT or a emu 0404.

here (2.5meg) the file includes 3 30 second samples of the following tracks:

Legowelt - The Tale Of Bernie Woodstein
A Guy Called Gerald - Flo-ride
Zest Rock! - Multi-Billion $ Negro

sorry if these dont make very good samples but i figured there better than Bong-Ra, nothing can help taste i suppose biggrin.gif
