Full Version: Creative MP3+ resampling?

I've noticed that the Creative MP3+ USB adapter is clearanced at walmart, only ~$15.

I know that it resamples when going through the analog outputs, but does it also resample if doing digital only? When in digital only mode, does it just act as a pass-through? That would make it a damn cheap digital out adapter to hook up to a real system.

AFAIK, it does resample for digital out.

Bleh, figured it did but wanted to make sure. Woulda been a great deal!

Thanks for the quick response.

Thank you for contacting Creative Labs Support.
No, the file and audio itself will still be at 44.1 khz; It's the spdif
signal that will be operating at 48 khz.

The audio isn't resampled but the SPDIF signal is 48 khz?? How is this not resampling the audio?
dreamliner77
It means that the file is left unchanged but is output at 48khz.
