Is there a lossless program to normalize wav files, similar to mp3gain? Thanks!

You generally *don't* want to normalize wav files. The procedure is not lossless.

Well, here's the deal. I have some great stuff in shn/flac/wav format, but the overall volume is very low. I'm looking to boost it across the board. I'm burning with Nero.

You probably then have no real choice other than to use WaveGain, but since you're increasing the volume any potential loss is really negated anyway.

I'd suggest you try Album Gain with a manual increase of 3dB. I find that eliminates the slightly lower volume that the Replaygain algorithm imposes as standard without over boosting in any way. Try it and see what you think, and then play with it to get the volume you're looking for.
