Hello to all the forum.
Using the RazorLame, there's an option called Optimization/quality.
If i turn on this option then razorlame add to the commandline the -h switch.

1) If i add to the lame commandline both -h and -q 0, the Lame will use -h or -q 0?

2) In the Fhg codec, using the highest quality there's the risk of
"innatural increasing of bandwidth"; in Lame 3.92 (with -q 0) there's a similar risk or i should use -q 2?

Thanks in advance. wink.gif

Depends which is defined last.. if the order in commandline is -h -q0 ,then q0 is used.

-q0 in Lame 3.92 is not working like it should. In other words, it's broken. Use -q 2/-h

Yeah. Wait until 3.93 is out and has passed quite a bit of scrutiny before ever using -q 0 or -q 1.

Gasp!
I've used -q 0 a lot of times! (Even -q 1 is broken?),
and i now i discover that is broken...
This may cause bad quality? What mean?

P.S. Howewer, using the "highest quality" with an mp3 encoder may cause
artifacts, or innatural increasing of bandwidth?
NeoRenegade
Highest quality in FhG can increase the bitrate a bit.

-q0 and -q1 in LAME do not work properly. I can't say for certain that it really hurts the quality (I don't know enough to make that judgment), but -q0 and -q1 are currently not as good as -q2 or -h.

Thank you.
Now i've understood.

And slow as hell to boot, the last I've heard
