a German news site reports that EAC 0.95beta3 is out. this seems to be either a joke that they fell for or maybe even malicious software.
the app comes with an installer and has a new icon that I've never seen before. user reports mention that the app is in Polish language only.
there is no mention of this new (?) version at the homepage.

to sum up, until this a new version is not announced at the homepage I would be careful to download beta3 from other sources.
maybe it's just a localized leaked build, who knows. but this seems to be pretty unlikely.

Early versions *are* distributed to maintainers of the translation files, AFAIK.

I do agree a Polish installer looks fishy. Anyone willing to email and ask the Polish maintainer, gregg@cdrinfo.pl?

PS. You can change the language to English by changing the language options or deleting the Polish language translation file.

I asked Gregg by email, and he has kindly informed me that it is not a fake version. He says the official version should be out by Monday.

in the meantime there has been another bugfix though which will be included in mondays release.

One new feature I found is that when selecting to save image, the default name is "<artist> - <album>", whereas earlier it gave "CDImage". Incidently, this is one of the features of my REACT plugin...
I tried to do an automatic translation from polish, but don't understand much of it. Would anyone that knows polish have a go?
