(i posted this in the DVD transcoding forum, but no ones seems to use it i guess. so here is the same post.)

i wanted to rip the audio off a movie i just downloaded (the woodsman)

i have the original iso, and when its mounted with alcohol, the audio_ts folder is empty. i also burned the iso with Nero (even though i dont know what i'm supposed to use to burn dvd iso's, because i've used nero to burn 3 iso's, and they never work on my dvd players). so the burned dvd doesnt have anything in the audio folder either.

anyway i could go about getting the audio from the burned disc, mounting the iso, or even some sort of plug in that records the audio from my media player.

grrr. THANKS for helping if you decide to.

The audio_ts folder is used for DVD-Audio titles. The audio to accompany the video is in the video_ts folder.

(I was dumbfounded by it when I started dealing with DVDs too)

On a DVD-video, there is no audio in de audio_ts folder, it is embedded in the vob files in the video_ts folder. Use DSPGuru's BeSweet & GUI along with the vobreader plugin to extract the audio.
