Is a tab version on the way?

Thanks for a great plugin... !
But, how can i get access to edit mode on tracks i submitted. I have submitted some that i would like to correct a bit.

You need to be an advanced user to edit lyrics. But i don't know if you will ever get promoted to a higher level...

EDIT: if the promotion system works in the way, that the admin needs to check all the lyrics you posted, i doubt you get ever promoted, because i'm sure dug has more important work than checking lyrics.
If it's based on the number of complains for your lyrics, you may get promoted, but i'm not sure with that

Some guy posted all lyrics from last rhcp album, so was promoted same second I noticed.

works here. today i was unable to submit and recieve lyrics with foobar, but it works now. maybe server overload or mainterance

You could make a simplified version (radio button in configuration), which doesn't save lyrics - it just shows them. For me (and maybe some other people) that would be great because I just ocasionally check for lyrics.

It would be easy as clicking on a song, and selecting Show Lyrics ..

Do you guys know if such component exists?

Just click get lyrics and when the lyrics are showed cancel and nothing will be saved.
In the 3rd party components section there's a sticky topic called 'Most wanted v0.9 components' or something like that. You can find there some lyrics plugins that can do the job.

I don't get it, I copied it to my components folder, but how do I use it inside foobar2000? I can find it in preferences but I can't insert it with columns_ui or anything. Only the options I can find. Could someone please help me?

You can access it through the context menu.
It seems that you think that this plugin displays lyrics, but it is made to downloads them.

Alright I got it now, it's supposed to be green and scrolling right? But anyway it won't show songs I know is on the site for lyricsdb, so how do I get them to work together?

You need to save the lyrics into to the ID3 tag with LyricsDB first, and then Lyrics Show will show them.
Personally i prefer trackinfo for displaying lyrics, as i don't like the scrolling.

My biggest problem is trying to get the lyrics show to fit into the right side of the screen, it is actually excessively hard

I use the trackinfo panel (suggested a few posts ago) and I don't find it hard to configure and use: probably the most "problematic" (if you are new to this) step is configuring ColumnsUI.

Are you talking about foo_lyricsdb? If so, then the answer is no to both questions.

You CAN (I suppose, as I don't use this plugin) view your lyrics with foo_uie_lyrics/foo_uie_lyrics_panel, but you can also use (do I hear an echo in here?

) foo_uie_trackinfo, IF your lyrics have NO timestamps.

See here (that's an example with tabbed panels: you can replace it with trackinfo if not needed).

I've a problem with the Lyrics-Plugin.

I just wanted to get the lyrics for some songs of the album Himmelfahrt from Megaherz. The songs are in the Database. But when i select "get lyrics from db" there comes a message "connected to database but lyrics not found".

Am I the only one with this problem?

I also noticed some issues with getting lyrics..

sometimes some non-standart letters (like ä ö ü or sometimes quotes ' ") show up as these annoying boxes or some other weird symbols. And if that's the case the plugin wont get the lyrics. Is it a problem with my machine, as i removed all the languages and symbols that i dont need, or is it an issue with the plugin/database?

EXAMPLE: http://lyrics.mirkforce.net/rammstein/bückdich.txt wont work :/

This may not be the right spot to post this, but I thought that it would be the most appropriate. When I save lyrics to mt MP3s and display them in foobar2000 (using a Track Info panel) each line shows the return character. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, and what they do to correct it.

Dug, I seem to have found a bug:

1. Search for a lyric (I do this via a shortcut)
2. Press cancel
-> the dialog stays there and only vanishes, if you restart foobar

Is there a way to timestamp the lyrics foo_lyricsdb tags and how do I make foo_uie_lyrics show them ?
I tried to timestamp them manually, but foo_uie_lyrics displays the [] brackets instead of using them ..

For adding the time-tags i use foo_uie_lyrics_panel. http://foobar.s53.xrea.com/up/files/up177.zip

Though it doesnt save the lyrics (at least it doesnt for me) you have to switch to switch to text edit, copy it and past it with file properties or lyrics_db.

i just got another little question, so far lyric panel + lyricdb is simply no option for me, cause i seem to have 98% tracks which cant be found in the net by these plugins.

i need lyrics for the genres harder rock and all kinds of metal lyrics. so it would be nice if anybody else found a server which can be implemented in the lyricsdb.

If you don't find the lyrics on LyricsDB, search the web for them, add them to your files and export them to LyricsDB. That's what LyricsDB has been made for.

EDIT: Since the new beta, tag writing with lyricsdb makes foobar crash. Playback stops and foobar stops responding. Tag gets applied anyways.

Having the exact same problem since upgrading to v0.93 beta 1

Is anyone working to solve this?
