i rip my cds with eac to an compressed wavpack file with embedded cuesheet.

i once hat a problem with a cd where some tracks had "ä", "ü" or "ö" in the title. after replaygaining the album, the "cuesheet" tag was lost and i had to copy it from the .cue file, which i always have as backup.

as i now have the problem again, but with a cd where the "umlaute" depend, i wanted to post it.

the cd i'm talking about is "Träesbetoni - Metallitotuus".

Are you using fb2k v0.8.3? This is a problem with any format with embedded cue sheet I believe. You need to:
  • Run replaygain on the cue sheet with no special characters. The cuesheet will be modified with the replaygain information.
  • Manually edit the cuesheet and add the special characters save it with UTF-8 encoding.
  • Load the image file under fb2k, add a CUESHEET tag under fb2k to the image file.
  • Copy & paste the contents of the cuesheet into the tag.
You might need to restart fb2k several times because otherwise it fetches the old info from the database. And always keep a copy of the cuesheet after each if these steps because if you make a mistake (like replaygaining the cuesheet with special characters) fb2k screws up and locks during which the cuesheet size jumps from 3KB to over 50MB (repeating itself)! Then you should recover from the backup of the earlier step.

EDITED because i was obviously too dumb to understand the real problem here. Sorry to all.

as i now have an expert, you can shurely tell me a bit about the lyrics... my friends and myself are guessing what the songs are about. i think they heard that the lyrics are really cheesy. what can you as native speaker tell me about it cool.gif
