Hello
Does anyone know how to join 2 aac files without reducing the quality?
Ax
Not tested, but:
convert to RAW, add to each other, reconvert to whatever format of your liking

I was hoping that I would not have to re-convert. The 2 files are already aac (lossy), to re-converting them will only reduce the quality further.
I would like to join the 2 files (losslessly), without reducing the quality
Or have I misunderstood you?
Ax
You misunderstood. I meant convert to RAW AAC (headerless).

thanks, but which program do i use to "copy A + B /B" ?
If using Windows, just go to command prompt and perform "copy a + b /b" where a is the first file and b the second.

I typed that in and got the following error
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop>copy 1.aac + 2.aac /2.aac
The syntax of the command is incorrect.
i have both 1.aac and 2.aac on my desktop and am logged in as administrator!
