Welp..I finally decided to ask on the forum after about an hour of googling.

For the life of me I can't get media player classic to stream windows media .wma files.

I'm running windows XP pro N (without windows media player) and im trying to get it so that media player classic is my all inclusive media player.

So far I have got it to play everything except for streams of windows media.

Originally I couldn't play windows media files at all until I installed the windows media 9 runtime files.

So basically does anyone know how to get streaming windows media to work in media player classic without windows media player installed.

I was hoping i wouldnt have to install windows media 9 runtime files. Is there a codec pack that will let you play windows media without actually installing WMP?

Microsofts codec packages require that WMP MUST be installed.

thanks in advance
