Hey. Topic pretty much says it all. But what's ideal with an RSX? I'm really a newb when it comes to subwoofer size and brand. But I made this thread just so I can see if anyone has any recommendations.

It's a hatchback, and I want some nice bass, but I don't want to sacrifice all the trunk space cool.gif

Oh, and by the way, the car is great smile.gif

Oh and budget is probably under $500.

I would look at small sealed enclosers and a subwoofer designed for it. They are a bit more expensive and less efficient, but generally result in flatter frequency response and tighter bass than a ported box (and they take up less room). Don't even bother with a bandpass box (unless all you listen to is rap, in which case you probably don't care about sound quality in the traditional sense).

I bought a Kenwood 12" and small sealed box along with a cheap 250watt RMS bridgable amp a few years ago for my 240SX, and it sounds great. My friends agreed my system was the best sounding system out of all our cars, and I hadn't even upgraded my factory speakers (yet I did put 180Hz highpass crossovers on the outputs).

I can't help you with your subwoofer problem, but I wanna congratulate you to your nice car biggrin.gif. I'm a poor student atm but i'm definately getting a Integra or something similar when I can afford it biggrin.gif.

Maybe you wanna take a look at www.hondapoweR.de if you're interested in tuning and stuff wink.gif.
