That seems confused / backwards. If the drive caches, then the "Drive caches audio data" option should be checked (enabled). The log will say "disable cache". Checking the option effectively disables the rereading of sectors from the buffer/cache instead of from the actual disc.

It would be nice to put an end to this silly mangled terminology confusion once and for all. I suppose we could agree to call the feature audio cache override. When the Drive caches audio data checkbox is checked, it's on. When the checkbox is cleared, the feature is off. That would avoid the extremely awkward and ambiguous expressions like "do you have disable cache enabled" that only Germans seem to be comfortable with =).
