Hi All,

I am looking for a high quality and preferably PCMCIA sound card for my laptop computer USB ones are also wellcomed but it is my desire to find a pcmcia one rather than usb, I am aware of Creative Audigy 2 ZS pcmcia but since the quality of creative's soundcards do not pass the mediocre level I am not willing to buy that.

Any idea ?

I have the Echo Indigo IO, and I'm quite satisfied with it (although occasionally the system freezes when I insert it).

PoisonDan is correct.

If your primary goal is quality, then the Echo Indigo IO is the way to go.

If features are important as well, then the M-Audio Transit and the Terratec Aureon USB MkII may offer an acceptable quality-features-tradeoff.

I added the Echo Indigo to the wiki a long time ago. If you know of any other hi-end notebook cards you might want to add them also, excluding Creative

For a decent price the presonus firebox bets the rest of the competition hands down. just try it if you don't believe it...
