I'm having problems playing one specific WAV file in foobar 0.9b8 while it plays fine in foobar 0.8.3. Other WAV files play fine without any problems. I get the following error:
CODE
Error opening file for decoding (Unsupported format or corrupted file): F:\Mp3's\Original Soundtracks\Boondock Saints\Boondock Saints - And Shepards We Shall Be.wav

Fileinfo:
CODE
bitrate = 1411
samplerate = 44100
channels = 2
codec = PCM
bitspersample = 16
----------
754560 samples @ 44100Hz
File size: 3 018 284 bytes

Let me know if you need more info.
It's a small file (about 3MB), let me know where to send it to if you need it.

Wow, that was a fast reply! smile.gif
Here you go
Peter
File made with broken software (incorrect RIFF header length). If something plays it properly then you're just lucky.
Cosmo
If you need a "quick-n-dirty" fix to make it playable -
Compress with FLAC (other lossless formats might also work),
then decompress back to WAV
kjoonlee
Won't it be quicker to use 0.8.3's diskwriter to make a new copy?

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give it a go and see if it works.
