Am I missing something or is the ability to change the thread priority for the converter gone? I wondered whether perhaps it had been merged with the playback thread priority setting (doubted it but was just a thought), but it seems this is not the case. If I set the converter thread priority to 100% in fb2k 0.8.3, my notebook lags like hell, so I know it works. This isn't usually desirable, but on my faster P4 desktop, it behaves nicely even with thread priority set to 100%, so it is nice to have control over this.

It either lags other apps and slightly gains speed, or gains nothing significant.
If your P4 has hyperthreading then it's the latter.

In fact, max priority will result in extra slowdown on machines with power management / dynamic CPU speed because it will clobber thread watching CPU usage and adjusting CPU clock.
