Hi

I'm using Foobar v0.8.3 on XP Pro SP2 and can't get the Cross fader to work. I'm just using the volume and Cross fader DPS's.

I've played around with the fade duration but it doesn't fade. I can see the track title changes before the playing song finishes but it doesn't start playing the next tune as it fades the other track out - it just pauses for about 5 secs after the tune is played out, then starts the next tune.

I then thought the Pause between tracks might be causing a problem even though it wasn't activated so I activated that and set it to 0 seconds, but all that does it pop up an error each time it goes to fade the next track in:

ERROR (CORE) : one or more bad chunks removed from dsp chunk list

It then plays the next tune without a pause but doesn't fade it in.

I've tried changing the sound output method but it makes no difference.

I've used the same settings on another computer and it works ok so all I can think is that my windows is screwed somehow but can't think what to check. I've already tried reinstalling direct x and my sound driver but it makes no difference.

Any ideas?
