Full Version: Looking for transcoder...

Looking for an application to take .wav and batch transcode to .mp3 and .wma at a minimum (vbr, cbr, various bitrates). Need something that will encode quickly. Also needs to have very flexible output parameters (create folders, adjust filenames, etc.) - ideally would be able to pull data via ODBC for output file formatting. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Try dbpoweramp with dmc file slector.
You'll have to do it in two steps though.
1. Conversion to mp3, wma etc.
2. Next import tags from freedb with a tagging program, say Tag & Rename. If you set up the renaming parameters right, folder names and file names will be set correctly.

edit: forgot about foobar2000, which will do the job just fine, with the freedb and foosion utilities components. You needn't use any other program if it suits you.
