I installed EAC and Lame 3.96.1 on a windows 2000 machine and while EAC creates the CDIMAGE file Lame does not create the MP3s

Help!

Also how does one ask LAME to create the MP3s in a ...\Artist\Album\song name.mp3 format. I dont see anywhere in Lame or EAC where one can inculde a file path.

I also tried Wack only so tha the the songs would be created in the ...\Artist\Album\song name.mp3 format but it would not run either.

I get the CDIMAGE file but then no MP3s

On XP the same software runs well.

Hi navin smile.gif

What are you trying to do - just create LAME track files?

If so you don't need to create an image file, just click the "MP3" button at the left of the main EAC window.

Do you need to use WACK?

You specify the file name and path for track files under the EAC > EAC Options (or press F9) > Filename (to specify filename) and Directories (to specify the root directory) tabs.

NB: my values (at work) are:

Filename:

Naming scheme: A%\%C\%N - %T
Use various artist naming scheme: %D\%C\%N - %T (%A)

Directories:

Use this directory: C:\DOS\

I really don't see why it won't work on 2K but will on XP - I think you must have some settings not the same.

I use EAC/LAME on a Windows 2000 machine all the time with no problems.

What is the command line that you are using for LAME?
