Ok, so I have ~500 albums and no album covers (and want them). Luckily, they are all 100% well tagged so an automated script would work...but which?

e: Trying this: http://louhi.kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects...art-1_6_0.blog/

It seems to be working. Is this the best way?

The programs i have used seem ok although most use low quality sources like amazon (mostly 300x300) i see that program now checks buy.com and walmart (500x500 scans on both sites iirc) so thats not bad.

the most reliable site for high quality scans of the type of music i listen to is www.juno.co.uk (700x700 front and back) but i have not found any tools to check the site automaticly so i have to search it whenever i get something new.

If you scan a CD's album artwork at 96dpi, which is the standard for web graphics, then they should be no larger than 450 x 450 or so. I prefer 300 x 300.

You can get 600x600 high quality artwork for albums in the iTunes Music Store through places like these: http://tpemble.urfbownd.net/itunes.php

Just find the album in iTunes' Music Store, right click and tell it to Copy URL, then paste it in here. It gives back links to low res and high res art. The Art I found through this method is possibly the best quality artwork I've seen anywhere.

Not the greatest, but another option...
