Full Version: Burn Wav To Cd Using Eac?

I've got about 3 Wav files that were written using EAC's "Range" method because these scratched cds wouldn't allow EAC to detect gaps. The ripping worked flawlessly using the range feature though. However, now I'd like to know how I can burn a disc using EAC with these ranged Wavs? I don't see anything that would do this in there.....or I'm simply missing it. Any help appreciated.

EAC can burn discs??.. I don't understand... EAC is a CD Audio ripper, it is not a CD burning program.. (or is it?!)

It is a burner (only audio CDs, BTW), and works very well with my LG 8240B (thanks for the hint, Seed)

You can just drag and drop wavs onto the cd-r burning field. Seems to work for me.

Check out EAC, it even has a button to the left of the screen for its Writer applet. Works good too for me. Only problem is it hangs my system for a little while during Lead-out. dry.gif

huh.. I didn't know it can burn CD's smile.gif... Since when does this feature exist by the way?

For as long as I've been using it which is more than a year and a half.

At my system (PlexWriter 12/10/32A) trying to write a CD under EAC forces an immediate reboot (which is the only thing that has ever managed to do that to my XP system, apart from a bad stick of RAM that was swiftly replaced)... So it might not be all that stable for all people.

It isn't. It supports very few drives, and is buggy (I already got two coasters - in a drive with buffer underrun protection!)

But it is good for audio recording, no doubts about that.

It's been working fine with my Plextor 40/12/40A, now that I fixed my bad hd problem.

Since posting my initial querry here I now know how to go about when EAC can't detect gaps on the CD, no matter what setting I try. I burn a single wav using the Range feature. Then I try to get a cue sheet online or from a buddy and then burn the wav back to CD using the cue sheet. It seems to work fine for me.

It's not necessary to go through all this, instead of ripping a range, rip all tracks. It doesn't detect gaps when ripping tracks.

Whenever I tried it it would then procede to look for gaps before ripping. Hence, why I would then rip using the range feature. Exactly which command/feature are you talking about?
Pio2001
Action / copy selected tracks (uncompressed).
