Some of you will have noticed the WinMx network is now down.It was possible to find many high bitrate Lame and FhG files with a bit of patience with this program.
Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement?
Networks like Kazaa tend to have mostly 128 mp3 files not suitable.
What works best these days..?

Possible TOS violation... Funny, why would you be interested in those files that are ripped and encoded by the worst pieces of software? I think pretty much all the files are junk in those networks.

though everyone would like to think they'll download the album and if they like it they'll buy it, it just doesn't happen most of the time. people are lazy, i'm sorry to say.
also, if everyone bought small artist's stuff, the big artists wouldn't become small - the small artists would become big. they would then be considered as sell-outs and indie snobs would stop buying their records and they'd be small artists again
