Hi,
Does FLAC, WavPack and other lossless audio codecs(or even lossy codecs) compresses to greater extent if its sampled at higher freq. ??
I mean, does 96KHz audio file gets compressed more than 44.1KHz audio file ??
If YES, please explain the reason.... If NO, why ?

thanks
Axon
My vinyl 96k needle drops usually compress just as bad or worse than CD rips. The biggest problem is that most of the signal at ultrasonic frequencies is pure low level noise, which is close to impossible to compress well.
