I just got a Linksis DI-524 as a gift, and i'm trying to setup W2K to use my connection, instead of others ... but i see no place to tell W2K which one to use, what SSID, what channel, what key, etc ... any idea?
you need to change your prefered networks...

aparently i have to download some software for the card! i don't have to do that in Linux, i wonder why ... no, i can't change the prefered network without this sw.
edit: sorry, my fault, it appears to be under the configuration of the card...
edit2: i cant find all ... installing the new drivers ...

AFAIK you need SP4 and you won't need the programs for the wireless card (just drivers).

usually you can just extract the program and install the driver for the card...i'm not using the little wireless tool for my wireless card either...

here are the options of the card on the driver ...

no many options
You don't set the channel on the card in the computer. It sets that automatically. Only place you set channels is the access point/router.
SSID you can change in the screen you posted.
Where to set the key is a bit harder. For that you probably do need to install the programs for your card. In XP that's all built in, but in 2000 it may not be. If it was, you'd set it on that card in the network connections area, not in the drivers area where you are. You could change the SSID in the network connection area too.
