hi smile.gif sorry for my english, i'll try to explain what i mean:

1)How can add and image binary data to an MPC file?there is possible to do the same with APE file + CUE?
I prefer to embed the image in MPC, i dont' want a simple link pointing image on file sistem.

2)album art plugin support image in tag?or just image in folders?

3)there is a version of album art for the latest beta of foobar? (because i love the new column_ui plugin)

4)there is a version of track info panel for the latest beta of foobar?

latest beta = 0.9 beta 10

i performed a search but can't find anything sad.gif

thank you in advance smile.gif

1) You can't. And even if you could, you shouldn't.

2) It supports only external image files, as foobar2000's tag reading system doesn't support images (which is a good thing).

3 and 4) No. No 3rd party plugins for 0.9 until the new SDK is released. That happens after 0.9 final is released. And that happens WID.

I could not because MPC format? or why?
i have seen MP3 with embedded images. does mp3 support it?
does not matter if foobar do not support it, i can swith to another player sad.gif

you write:
"It supports only external image files, as foobar2000's tag reading system doesn't support images (which is a good thing)."

why i should not?it is a "standard" tag (as LYRICS for example) or not??

Foobar2000 does not support binary data (example: images) in tags, as anza said.

Mpc uses only apev2 tags. I don't think it's designed to store an image. Even if you can do it, I don't think there's a program to read it.

Mp3 format can have images. I think Godfather (tagger), Tag&Rename (tagger), iTunes support it.
Nice examples with images in mp3:
+ free audio guides at podguides.net
+ free audio guides for MoMa museum in New York, but I lost the url.

That said, the album art panel works very well with external images, even if you want a different one for each song.
Plus:
- when you double-click image can be lauched in external viewer for full-screen display
- if you name an image folder.jpg, Windows explorer will show it as a thumbnail for your folder, which is a nice way to browse albums.
- you even cycle through images (didn't try)

Lyrics is only text, no problems with it. There are nice plugins for it, one that is windowed, another that is a panel. The panel one downloads (synched) lyrics automatically, and the other downloads normal lyrics on demand.

Off-topic: this is a red fox, fortunately the species is not threatened by extinction wink.gif . I'm not familiar with the meaning of Firefox... and I'm surfing the web mainly with Opera because it's much lighter wink.gif

Note that the album art panel is quite flexible, and you can have a different (external) image for each song, if you like.
