Full Version: Lame 3.97 Block Switching

Hi.I switched to 3.97 and was watching it work for awhile.In addition to the short and long blocks, there were also a significant percentage of switch blocks.

What are they?Do they replace all short blocks being encoded at 320 as per Dibrom"s tweaks?

I think thats the transition block from a series of long to a series of short blocks or vice versa.

Between long and short blocks, you have to use some special blocks (start and stop) for transition. Those are reported as switch blocks.
It was always the case, but they were not reported.
