Well, I am not satisfied with the standard in ear phones of the Maxfield 1 GB usb stick, and my very old headphones for portables are tearing apart.

So I need new good ones.
I thought of :

question: are they safe enough for running, jogging, mountain biking ?
Or do they fall off the ears ?

This one would be surely running-safe, but I have read in tests, that the arm rubs against the ears, and so that it is a little bit inconvenient to wear ?

Here the test reports wrote, that it is ok for wearing, but the sound quality of the 60 would not be the best.
I assume, that the 100 will have better, more neutral sound quality.

Do you have made experiences with these models, or similar ones ?
Do you think, one of above models is resistant against rain ?

Don't know if you have seen these. I have a pair. Good solid bass. Slightly lower treble than my Senn PX100's.

You should really invest in a pair of Koss PortaPro's. Slightly more expensive, but in the end it's worth it.

I am planning to get a pair of expensive ear canal phones.

I considered AKG, too, but hadn't found them yesterday.
Especially, as I like my home headphones AKG 500 (open system) very much.

The AKG K 26 is sealed system, maybe not good securitywise for outdoors activity, though better for the listening outside considering background noise.
hm, I want for outdours an open headphone, too.
The reviews for the K 24 P (half-open) are good, too, though there are complaints about the pressure to the head.

oh, difficult,
the AKG 24 P is promising as it is AKG, but somehow maybe it is too cheap, and not best sound, though it is AKG, and it looks plastic ?
The Sennheiser 100 is good to wear, but average sound ?
The Koss 55 is too unconvenient to wear,
The Koss 75 is good to wear, but safe enough for jogging ?

I have a pair of Koss PortaPros and a pair of AKG K 24 Ps. In general I prefer the PP sound, although the bass can sometimes be a bit too much. No issues with the comfort of either, really. PPs are a little more practical to adjust while on head. Some people have told that their hair gets stuck in the headband but I don't have that problem (not that I'd be bald).

I'm not sure if you use your headphones while riding a bike. That's a major issue IME. PortaPros have a terrible windnoise and I certainly do not recommend them for biking. That's the reason I ended up getting the AKGs but they're not much better.

As I am only after models, which have a neckband (instead over the head) or can be mounted directly to the ear like the Koss 75, I am wondering, if these fittings don't interfer with fittings of my eye-glasses ?
Has somebody with glasses tried one of the models ?

I'd think it'd be best to have some sort of retention mechanism besides the pressure of the earpiece against the ear canal. Furthermore I recall accounts on Head-fi of Etys having problems with microphonics on the cable.

I would truly love to go the head band route. But my issue is that what with restrictions on volume levels these days, overhead or neckband ear phones just dont have the volume.
