Hi,
Is there any standard or paper exclusively related to procedures for binaural localization tests through headphones?

Regards,

Sergio

Since you didn't get any help so far, I'll give it a try, although I'm not an expert on the subject.

Recent topics related to spatial localization at AES Barcelona 2005 convention:
http://www.aes.org/events/118/papers/session.cfm?code=Z7

Some (old, but useful) literature is listed here:
http://ccrma-www.stanford.edu/~malcolm/Spa...Literature.html

Or you can search for articles at the AES website:
http://www.aes.org/publications/preprints/search.cfm

http://edocs.tu-berlin.de/diss/2004/mackensen_philip.pdf

I remember an interesting demo at a Munich AES convention where (dsp-controlled) headphone localization was directly compared with a 5-speaker surround setup. Head-movements were measured and compensated for in real-time by the dsp box. Impressive.

Hope this helps.
