So I understand it's relatively easy to adapt foobar to show an album thumbnail.. but I have had something bigger in mind.

I'm in the process of transferring a lot of vinyl to my computer, and along with that, I'm taking medium resolution (~1500x1500) pictures of all the covers and liner notes. Since a lot of lyrics etc are on them, I would like to be able to zoom in on each of them as well as view just the basic album thumbnails.

In the simplest scenario, all that would be necessary is to call the Windows Previewer app (the basic image viewer) with a list of pictures provided from some reasonably accessible location (ie a subdirectory), and I could access that by perhaps clicking on the thumbnail, or something like that.

Any suggestions as to how to accomplish this, or if a plugin is available to do this?

(Mad bonus points if it can work with iTunes too.)

foo_openwith, perhaps, configured to open the Windows Viewer? I'm not sure what the right command is, but if you go to Control Panel->Folder Options->File Types and see what the default action is for an image type such as gif or jpg, I'm sure you'd find it.

Actually, I just looked it up. The command is (on WinXP Pro SP2):

CODE
rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1

Where "%1" is the path to the image.
