I have an important question 4 the EXPERTs of LAME --preset,
especially about the new 'FAST' option.

Wich settings are better for QUALITY of the MP3
with or without the 'FAST' option?

What does the 'FAST' option for QUALITY?

So for example what is better?

--PRESET FAST EXTREME or --PRESET EXTREME ?
--PRESET FAST STANDARD or --PRESET STANDARD ?
--PRESET FAST MEDIUM or --PRESET MEDIUM?

Short answer is that fast is better because it's faster, and in most cases isn't of worse quality than non-fast (and sometimes is even better).
