Hello,

I am sure it's really simple but I looked all over and can't find a program that automatically splits a one-file album.mp3 into multiple mp3 files (track1.mp3,track2.mp3, ...) by detecting the silence between the tracks and splittilng every time there is a 2-4 sec silence.

Does anyone know of a software that does this?

Thanks,

Ofer

A 2 second Google search produced this: http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net/mp3splt_page/home.php wink.gif

Looks like mp3DirectCut will do this also (Edit > Pause detection...)

mp3 workshop does this as well. albeit not as successfully on all files. once program is opened, look for tools / splitter.

mmmm, that's quite an old app now and it doesn't mention if the splitting process is lossless.
