how did they get gradient vertical borders like in this picture
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/1568/gr...ntborder5fl.jpg
(Strictly4me's)

I know how to make the borders and how to do the alternating colors thing, but I have no idea how it is made gradient

thanx in advanced,

I always thought it was a bunch of very small columns.

It is.

I used the technique in my config string:

bleh, thats gonna take some work...
there isn't anyway to dynamically create these columns?
maybe I can look at the export of my config and see if there is an easy way to do it by editing that file..

thanx again,

You might be able to do it by setting and unsetting a global, then you can use the same code for all columns.

It went quickly for me, because the style code is essentially the same as the other columns, then you just run a find and replace on "grad1", and paste in for each column.

I know it shouldn't be that hard..
but if I have one at wide as Strictly4me's then its gonna take quite a bit little columns which means alot of copy and paisting between them..
and then I have to copy them over and over for each and every different border..

just alot of busy work.., if there was a way to create them dynamically it'd be much more fun..

Well, I did suggest a way for you, but I don't know if you can write globals from outside of the global tab.

Maybe you can set a single background colour and then play around with $blend() to generate a few globals with different colours to form the shadow.
