Is it possible to rip with EAC to flac and after it finish compressing to FLAC, it checks for data integrity? Thanks.

Just add -V to your command line...

EAC can't rip directly to any format but .wav (PCM). It will then pass this wav to the chosen encoder.

Here is my current command line:

-8 -T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "date=%y" %s

so you want me to add -V to it and it'll end up like this?

-8 -T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "date=%y" %s -V

? Thanks!

I think it should be:

-8 -V -T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "date=%y" %s

-V -8, -V8, and -8V should all work too. smile.gif

I just added that, but how do I know that it verifys data integrity? As soon as it finishes encoding the wav into a flac file, it just stops. How do I know that it successfully verify that the data is good and there are no errors? Thanks!

If it completes the encoding, then it did not error out.

If it did?

Sigh, I just wish there was a confirmation that it was error-free.

If flac.exe encounters a verify error then it will print an error message and exit with a non-zero exit code. The faulty file will be left so it can be included in a bugreport. To make EAC notice the non-zero exit code and show a warning you must enable "Compression Options/External Compressosion/Check for external programs return code".
