I want to read a LONG thread offline (i.e. on a plane). Is it possible to easily download an entire thread?

Thanks!

Scroll all the way down to the end of the page. Click the "Options" button. On the menu that appears a bit further down click "Download / Print this Topic" and select "Download HTML version".

... reminds me of the days when we were dreaming of a forum <---> newsgroup converter on corecodec.com. There actually has been such a converter for the phpBB Forum once but i guess its development was stalled ? Having that, you could download the complete Forum on your HDD, and with ease.

There is a bug in this functionality, as it doesn't download the entire thread. I tried the print topic command prior to posting here, but found that the html page only gave me up to post #300, at the end of page 12. Looks like there is a hardcoded limit.

FYI...the thread giving me this problem is:

I guess I would something like Offline Explorer or similar and set it to download 50 limit depth (or how many sub-links you want) with the requirement that all links visited contain "showtopic=19156".

I haven't tried this exactly, but have done similar on other pages and usually it works out. Just have to play around for a few tries if there are issues.
