I've installed accuraterip and moved the .dll to the install folder of EAC (I think).

Reinstalled EAC and accuraterip but nothing like the screen shown in the help folder appears.

Obviously I'm doing something very basic incorrectly but there doesn't seem to be a step-by-step guide. Technology - it's great when it works!

My drive is a Toshiba DVD-CD SD-R2312, which I couldn't see listed. Perhaps the problem - is it just not tested by accuraterip?

Thanks for your patience folks!

AccurateRip is now set up to automatically submit results. If you go to the Database menu in EAC, you should see "Send AccurateRip results..." as the last option. Selecting this will display the window you mention.

Also, when you first insert a disc, you should get a window to guide you through set up of AccurateRip. It would tell you if the disc is not in the database, and thus, cannot be used to test your drive.

Did you go through the set up?

Hi - I get the "Send..." in the menu but it's greyed out.

When I put a disc in there is no window to guide me through the set up. Puzzling but you helpful people usually get me there in the end! Time for sleep now though...

When you performed the install, did you change the directory from dbPowerAmp to your EAC directory? In the EAC directory, you would see "AccurateRip" and "AccurateRipCache" folders, as well as the AccurateRip.dll.

You might not have changed directories, which means you would have an "Illustrate" directory under Program Files. That is the default install directory for AccurateRip.

Changing directories isn't necessary.
You need to configure accurip before you're able to use it, that's why it's greyed out. You need suitable CDs for that, if you live in an "unusual" country this may be difficult. On the accurip site is a list with suitable CDs but it is no longer updated since one year or so.
When inserting a suitable CD a window will automatically pop up and guide you. You'll need to do that three times with three different CDs.

Well I reinstalled... I did get a welcome but not the same one pictured in the Accuraterip site. The DVD-CD drive shuddered a few times and a syncronisation message came up and off I went!

It clearly is working fine - many matches on a couple of Blur CDs and (here's the impressive bit), five exact matches on every track of the Kinks 'Village Green'. Very convincing. No one has ripped Devo's Anthology using Accuraterip until me, which was a slight surprise - Be Stiff is just an ideal music-on-the-move song.

So thanks again - looks like my rips have been accurate so far and this will make sure they stay that way!

Do many people use Accuraterip on this site? I feel a poll coming on...

precisionist
Well, create a poll. I'm guessing most of the long-time members are using accurip, yes.
