No Musepack. It should be abvious at this point that mpc is no longer developed and that there will never be any hardware players supporting it.

WMA standard would make a good contender because many people have this religious faith against wma. (Actually, I don't care about wma and it is indifferent to me whether wma will be tested.)

I know nothing about MusePack development (actualy I never used MusePack-anyway I have never been MusePack fan) but as I know there is a firmware for iRiver H series which supports MusePack. And as I know there may be iPod MusePack support in future. Rockbox team is developing a new firmware for iPod players.
I just thought if a codec can compete (potentially well), why not to include it.

No, there isn't. What we have is a hack. There is no hardware support in the aspect that the player manufacturer doesn't care about Musepack. But we do have a software hack that adds musepack support to said player.
