wink.gif Is there any avaliable dvd player that plays most PC windows formats such MPEG's, codecs, AVI. etc cool.gif

not most but some, my elta just died the other day, it was able to play video dvd's, dvds with mp3's, some sorts of mpeg4 in avi - most divx titles and not all xvid stuff (divx+mp3 and divx+ac3 was just fine) + some really borken subtitle support.

with todays cheap dvd burners/media that kind of compatibility is slowly loosing its point anyway, hopefully we will see h264/mp4 support someday thought.

i'm sorry about your device, thanks o how long did it last? i've heard about some oppo players that supports several divx formats.. huh.gif

Actually, there are a lot of DVD players out now that support MPEG-4 video. You can see a list of DivX certified players here:

Just watch out for players that have problems with some features. Most common playback problems are related to XviD files with packed bitstream or Q-pel. You should try the player before you buy it or get an opinion from somebody who already has it.
