In 0.9 beta 11, adding items from the album list will not as before sort them from the 'sort incoming files' string in preferences. They will not even be in correct track order, making the album list much less useful.

Confirmed. As far as I can see, this only occurs when you use they keyboard shortcuts to send/add tracks to the playlist, but not when you use the context menu. Expect a fix soon.

Can you try if this version fixes the issue for you? If not, please tell us what view you are using (including the format string if it is not the directory view), your setting for "Sort incoming files by", and what method you use for adding files from album list to the playlist.

It appears the files are always sorted just as they are in album list. I use directory view, but it was the same with other modes. That is, the order is different, but same as in the list. Different methods of adding files don't seem to make any difference (I usually use middle mouse button for 'send to new playlist'). The new foo_albumlist.dll doesn't either.

My sorting string is
$left(%_path%,$sub($len(%_path%),$len(%_filename_ext%)))|%album%|%discnumber%|%tracknumber%|%artist%|%date%|%title%|%version%

The order of files added from the album list is supposed to be the same as it were in album list. On second thought, the "Sort incoming files by" setting is irrelevant for this, as the option to use it when adding files from the album list was removed in the 0.9 betas.

I forgot it was an option. It was there in previous betas though.

Is it possible to create a new view for album list that replicates directory view but with another sorting? I have tried, but I'm not very good at it. There also appears not to be any way to sort by a field other than by writing it.

Unless this can be solved I hope you will consider to put the option back. I understand you want few options but the removal of it seems to inevitably lead to a much less efficient use in my case.

In Albumlist, it would be very useful being able to choose a sorting method independently for each different view.

In fact, I think it would be nice to implement into Albumlist some of the ideas we can now find in PlaylistTree.

(Hope this hint doesn't break any forum rules and doesn't hurt the feelings of anybody).
