I have used a variety of MP3 players over the past 2 years or so and came across the iMP65 MP3 Player, FM Tuner, Dictaphone, and Flash Drive (Data Storage) device on www.chraystudios.com Anyone heard of that model before or how it compares to other 1 GB flash players?

I am torn between purchasing something like this one which allows for more of an active use compared to an iPod where I can get more storage. I dry.gif have looked at the Pros and Cons for both and have almost considered buying both. The biggest Con between them is the price and features when compared side by side.

Any Thoughts or experiences that will help my decision making process would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know a thing about that one but can vouch for another similar unit: http://eng.iaudio.com/product/product_i5.php (in capacities as large as 2GB vs the iMP65 at 1GB). It has a voice-activated mic that I have yet to test. It also has a line-in but I must admit that it distorts easily and the recording options are not high quality enough if you're interested in high fidelity recordings (128 kbps mp3 fhG encoding or WAV @ 32 kHz encoding; ADPCM, I believe it's called). The unit is great for playback and that is mainly all I use it for (I'm sure it works fine with voice recordings, too).
