there are some juicy looking MB Quart speakers ("new") on uBid.com at even juicier prices... now i haven't heard MB Quart myself, but i HAVE heard MB Quart in association with quality speakers in the past.

unfortunately my dumb self bid without having read many reviews... of which i couldn't find more than one or two (of different models)... especially of these, MB Quart QL C304CTR... i currently have a pair of Infinity 6.5" (don't recall the model number) for my main speakers...

is MB Quart quality pretty decent across the board? or should i really seek them out to hear them before doing something stupid like buying some? wink.gif

MB Quart is miles above anything you'll find in any of the "big box" store. Very good stuff. They often use Vifa as an OEM supplier.

Hmmm, news to me, I've always known MB Quart as automotive speaker makers. I have no idea how their homes are

After clicking on the first link, I highly doubt the retail value claims. In the picture it appears that the midbass drivers are not flush mounted -- this is highly suspicious. I've never seen a good speaker that did not at least flush mount the drivers. The speaker also looks likes the bottom-quality variety. Double-suspicous. Additionally, no other sellers of this speaker pull up in pricegrabber.com, etc.. Is this a piece of junk? I don't know, but I'de be willing to bet 'yes'. If you want an excellent 'real' bargain, go for some of the Infinity Primus speakers -- a line that is currently unmatched by any others at the particular price points -- not by chance -- but as a result of application of the accumalated perceptual research pioineered by Dr. Floyd Toole and Sean Olive at Harmon Kardon Labratories, and also a result of extraordinary engineering[extraordinary that it can meet the required measurable parameters within the realized price point].
