I have a problem with foobar 0.9 beta 12.

It seems to happen only with WavPack files. When there is only one file in the playlist and it happens to be WavPack, using any kind of repeating generates this error:

CODE
Error opening file for playback (Unsupported format or corrupted file) - "F:\!!!\DONE\Simply Red - 'Simplified'\Simply Red - 01 - Perfect Love.wv"

Other formats seem to play fine (tested with Wave and Musepack).

Setup: WinXP SP2, NTFS, AthlonXP 1700+, foobar2000 0.9 beta 12, WavPack files created with 4.3 encoder.

Do you need any other info ?

P.S. Some other problem, if I may: seekbar's slider can't be dragged fast or it returns to the previous position. It has to be dragged quite slowly to work. Clicking on the seekbar works without problems, though. smile.gif

I cannot reproduce the WavPack problem with my foobar2000 0.9 Beta 12 installation on Windows XP Home Service Pack 2. The machine fb2k is running on is an Intel Pentium 4 HT at 3.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM. The WavPack files I tested were encoded using whatever version was before 4.3 (4.2?).

Edit: I also use NTFS as file system.

I can confirm the seekbar problem, though. However, you have to drag really fast for the seekbar to reset to the postition where dragging begun.

I'll experiment more with WavPack, then. As for the seekbar - here, even moderately fast dragging results in resetting the slider's position.

How fast (as in meters per second) do you move the mouse? tongue.gif

Joking, I noticed that on my side, I can sometimes drag quickly without the seekbar to reset and sometimes it resets when dragging slowly, too. I always used the same track, so it's not related to the song length.

I think I've found the problem: the slider's position is being reset when the cursor leaves the "slider's area". It prevents easy navigating to the specific point of the track quite successfully, so I hope zZzZzZz will change it when he finds time. smile.gif

As for the WavPack - I'll write more after some experiments. Thanks for additional tests, Sebastian. smile.gif

P.S. 10-15 cm for the mouse, 50-60 cm for the cursor on 17" CRT @ 1024*768. tongue.gif

I think I've found the trigger of the error I reported. It happens with all the WavPack files containing MD5 checksums (created with -m option).
