Hi, when using mp4creator (rarewares's latest i think) I noticed there are options to extract a track, or delete a track.. What is this referring to?
It means you can use it to add and remove tracks in the MP4 stream. Remember there are lots of options available: AAC, Celp, SA, various video profiles...

Does it mean multichannel audio, you can delete one of the channels in 5.1 sound? Or, does it mean what I hope it means... you could have an album of say, 10 tracks, encode them seperately with AACenc, and then combine them losslessly into an mp4 file? That would be awesome!
Yeah, that theoretically is possible (Although I don't know if there's any limit on the number of audio streams, or the number of streams at all, in a MP4 file)
But most players would only play the first audio stream it finds in the container index. But I guess in_mp4 could be hacked in order to be able to play the other streams.

It would be a great help for me in archiving my cd collection... instead of having to put each album as a separate directory filled with each song... I could just have a single file for each album..
Besides... think of it... you would be able to add the cover (In JPEG2000 format, which is part of the MPEG4 technology portfoil), and lyrics, and so on... (w00t)

Would it be possible to have features in the Winamp plugin, so that for instance, hitting forewards or backwards in a track
CODE
the <<| and |>> buttons
would just foreward you 1 track in the album, rather than switching to the next file in the playlist?
Hummm... don't know about that. Better ask to someone that understands well Winamp plugins (Peter?)

And then if you just wanted a single track out of the song, you could extract it with mp4creator losslessly again?
Sure.

I hope all this is possible... or could be made possible?

So do I.
