Full Version: how to play a DTS CD using...

Hi folks!

I've been silent for quite some time on this board. During that period of time I discovered multichannel audio and I bought all DVD-Audio discs (of bands I like) I could lay hands on. I ripped the AC3 or DTS stream of these and could play it using the Media Player Classic through SPDIF bypass.

Sadly I haven't found a way to play DTS CDs that you can often find as image files (.iso, .nrg or what ever). I cannot decode them with any software player (after having upacked the iso) and I cannot bypass them. My receiver can decode DTS streams so it'd be optimal to bypass the DTS stream.

I already consulted google and the forum search engine but they didn't find answers to the questions I asked. Perhaps someone of you has a hint for me.

thanks in advance and best regards

i've been searching for the same solution. any luck with this?

I have Xitel's Pro Hi-Fi link which allows for USB to Optical out, which I send to my DTS 5.1 home theater receiver. i have no trouble playing dts dvds and dvd-audio with windvd 7 platinum, but i can't find anything that can do a clean spdif passthtough with the dts cd images that you mentioned. i've tried everything i could read to try, but no luck.

let me know if you find anything out.
