I'm in the process of ripping my CD's in FLAC format via EAC, and everything is working well. I also use WACK to process AAC files (aacenc32) at the same time. WACK provide the track number and total track count so that in iTunes I can get the "1 of 12" for track count.

Using diskwriter, I've created a commandline exporter, but cannot find if there is a tag that contains the total track count. Is there such a beast or so some other method (wavepack?) to transcode lossless images to individual AAC files (preferrably via Nero AAC)?

iTunes' count shows as %totaltracks% in foobar. I'm not sure if that's what you need, but I hope it helps. That's for M4A files. MP3s in iTunes use the format 3/12 in the track field (3 = tracknumber and 12 = total tracks).
