I have a cd ripped to mp3 file (whole cd in one file) and the cue file.
How do I split this mp3 to separate tracks without transcoding?

I'm sorry if there is the answer on the forum but I couldnt find it (keywords i tried: mp3 cue separate tracks).
I am also sorry for my poor english but this is my first post on that forym so please be tolerant.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you Martin H - that is what I looked for.
However when I cut a vbr file i got files which were shown as cbr in winamp.
Instead of average bitrate for a track some constant bitrate (probably value of first frame) were reported.
Statistic function of musicutter says that vbr header is not present. When I untick "Skip VBR Header" in Settings i still get files which looks like constant bitrate but first file looks like the oryginal file (the lenght of it).

Maybe someone can tell what do I do wrong or recomend some similar tool.

I aplogize for my terrible english again but i hope you'll understent what i mean.

You cannot chop up VBR MP3s and expect every player to determine the resulting sections' length correctly. The problem is largely cosmetic anyway: the sections play back fine, don't they?

If you must have correct length display, you could try foobar2000 and its "Fix MP3 Header" function.

Thank you "Never Again".
Yes the files are played back correctly, but i'll try fb2k anyway.
I also tried mp3DirectCut from http://www.mpesch3.de/ .
Files seems to have correct vbr header but the cut positions are not exatcly those from cue sheet.

The only cutter I know of that cuts all MP3's correctly is actually made by a forum member here. It's doesn't muck up the bit resevoir and correctly tags the Lame padding tags.

It's called PCutMP3 and can be found here:
