Hello,
I am wondering why ogg files are quieter than a comparable mp3 or wma file on an Iriver-895? Using DBPoweramp to encode at quality settings around 192kbs.

Exactly. I have an iRiver IFP-899, same problem. I stick to LAME -V2 --vbr-new, works fine (also saves battery life).
