I recently installed a Turtle Beach Montego sound card in my system and it seems like it is compressing the heck out of the audio. It's like listening to an FM radio. I've tried three different players (Winamp, Foobar, WMP) just to make sure there wasn't any sort of DSP going on with the individual program. I've also looked in the sound cards control panel to make sure no DSP is going on there either. I'm using the optical output into my Denon reciever.

Does anyone else use this sound card and if so, have you experienced this phenomenon? I've E-mailed Turtle Beach but so far I haven't recieved a rely from them.
