Hi.


When ripping a DVD from a DVD9 to DVD5, video is certainly compressed. But, what happens with audio? Is it compressed too? How does this affect audio quality in a, say, musical or concert when ripping?

It depends if you selected to recompress AC3 or DTS track too.

I really don't know if the program I currently use (DVD2one) does recompress audio or not. Does it?

dvd2dvd transcoders like that usually leave audio untouched (at least dvdshrink).
