Maybe someone could possibly help me? how do i change the id tags of songs i have already ripped from my collection when i was not online? Is there a program that searches my exiting files then goes to CDDB and names them all correctly? Thanks very much, yes im a noob, and Gday from Perth, Western Australia.

Depends on what you ripped them with. For example, if you use iTunes to rip them, then iTunes can tag them after the fact with the "Get CD Track Names" function. But that only works if you used iTunes to rip them.

If you used something else to rip them, and don't know the names of the tracks precisely (just a bunch of disordered tracks), then MusicBrainz is your best bet. It's pretty accurate, and for those it can't figure out automatically it has a somewhat difficult to use interface to let you pick which track they actually are. Just make sure that you sign up for a MusicBrainz account before installing the software, it makes it easier. It's free.

If you ripped a whole CD at once you can load the tracks in Foobar and use it to tag them by searching FreeDB for the album.
